Engineering Manager (Purchasing Workflows)

Our client in the Fintech space is seeking a fulltime / permanent Engineering Manager, Purchasing to lead and grow a team responsible for building core procure-to-pay capabilities in their SaaS platform.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 6–8 software engineers.

Own the technical vision and execution for the Purchasing domain, including requisitions, POs, vendors, and integrations.

Partner with Product and Design to prioritize roadmaps, manage trade-offs, and deliver customer-impacting features.

Drive architectural quality, scalability, and reliability while managing technical debt in a large SaaS codebase.

Ensure strong engineering practices across delivery, testing, observability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

10+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in an engineering leadership or people-management role.

Experience building and scaling customer-facing SaaS platforms (Python / Django, React / TypeScript, cloud-native environments).

Strong system design and architectural decision-making skills in complex or legacy systems.

Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in an agile environment.

Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across product, design, and platform teams.
