The Role
Cameco is looking for an organized, effective communicator to schedule capital projects for the Technical Services department.
As the scheduler, you will be an integral part of the project team, providing expertise in scheduling functions and ensuring that standards are met on capital projects.
In this role, you will :
- Support the development of schedules for large, complex projects, during framing, stage transition and AFE revision
- Conduct analysis, identify issues and opportunities, and review any risks with the appropriate teams
- Be responsible for coordinating and integrating with all major stakeholders and coach project teams on scheduling requirements
- Monitor, progress update and analyze schedules
- Conduct schedule impact assessments of PCOs
Required :
- Two or three-year diploma in science, engineering, IT or a relatable field
- Five to eight years of relevant work experience in a scheduling / planning role or project management
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Experience with project control systems (WBS, code of accounts, EPCM)
- Experience with computer systems such as SAP, and Project Management software such as ARES Prism
- Experience with Microsoft project or other scheduling tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Effective communicator with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders
- Periodic travel to site locations
