UX / UI Developer – CAD Systems & Research Applications

Location : Hybrid (3 days remote), Toronto, Canada

Experience : 4 Years

Role Summary : NearSource Technologies is looking for a UX / UI Developer to contribute to advanced CAD and research-driven platforms for a Fortune 500 product organization. This role focuses on building high-performance user interfaces for complex engineering workflows, combining strong UI engineering with Human-Computer Interaction principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement an interactive decomposition canvas to break down complex mechanical assemblies visually
• Develop core HCI components to enable fluid, responsive interaction within CAD-based platforms
• Build UI workflows for structured requirements input, ensuring guided and efficient user experiences
• Implement front-end components for user authentication and per-user project persistence
• Develop UI components for editing and interacting with structured data in research platforms
• Create visualization controls for simulation outputs and kinematic movement within 3D CAD environments
• Collaborate closely with research scientists and engineers to translate complex concepts into intuitive user interfaces
• Participate in iterative design cycles, incorporating feedback and research insights to refine UI quality and usability
