Job description
TreowGroup Inc., on behalf of our Toronto-based chemical manufacturing client, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Coordinator to support the advancement of the company's ESG initiatives. Reporting directly to the General Manager, and working on-site in Etobicoke, this role offers a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally and contribute to the company's long-term sustainability and compliance goals.You will make your impact by: Assisting in the implementation of ESG initiatives that support the company's long-term sustainability goals.Collecting, tracking, and organizing ESG data, including metrics on energy use, emissions, waste management, and social performance.Supporting the preparation of internal and external ESG reports, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with frameworks like GRI, SASB, or TCFD.Helping coordinate employee training sessions, internal campaigns, and awareness initiatives that promote environmental responsibility and inclusivity.Conducting research and benchmarking against industry best practices, supporting continuous improvement of ESG strategies.Assisting internal departments with basic compliance tracking and helping maintain ESG documentation and records.Coordinating customer-driven ESG audits by preparing documentation, facilitating auditor requests, and organizing site tours in collaboration with plant and corporate teams.You are a great fit if you: Have completed a post-secondary education in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Public Policy, or a related field.Bring 0–2 years of related work or internship experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, or environmental compliance.Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage data and timelines across multiple projects.Communicate clearly and professionally with both internal teams and external stakeholders.Are curious, proactive, and passionate about making a positive environmental and social impact through your work.Have a basic understanding of ESG reporting frameworks (bonus if familiar with GRI, TCFD, SASB, CDP).Thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment within a manufacturing or industrial context.What our client offers: Competitive base salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive health and dental benefitsMatching RRSP program to support long-term financial wellnessA supportive, collaborative culture that values innovation and responsibilityCareer growth and mentorship in a rapidly evolving and in-demand fieldThe chance to make a measurable impact at a company committed to sustainable operationsAbout Our Client:Our client is a chemical manufacturer with a strong reputation for innovation, safety, and environmental responsibility.
