Senior Manager, Sourcing & Procurement (Norwell)

The Sourcing & Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing the sourcing strategy of Norwell ensuring the highest supply stability, quality and cost-efficiency.

This pivotal role involves ensuring a reliable and stable supply, identifying and resolving supply challenges with urgency to avoid out of stocks, sourcing for brand line extensions and working with our partners on product improvement.

The role also includes managing supply from POs to inventory release, negotiating contracts, managing costs, and collaborating with various teams including Project Management and the Brand Team to support product requirements, development and implementation.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Norwell brand and operations managers as well as the Pharmascience cross functional team.

This includes Sourcing, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Project Management, Finance, Legal and Quality & Compliance to support Norwell’s objectives.

Tasks and responsibilities :

• Develop an annual sourcing strategy and budget plan
• Negotiate supply contracts, renewals and cost of goods
• Managing supply from POs to inventory release
• Ensure compliance with all contract terms and conditions
• Source and negotiate supply contract, overseeing on-time product development working with cross-functional teams for product line extensions and / or product improvements
• Participate in all product development / improvement projects from conception to completion
• Generate annual supply savings
• Identify and mitigate supply risks, proactively communicating risk to cross-functional teams
• Ensure that at all times, correct specifications, minimum order quantities (MOQ), batch sizes and the like are updated in the system by the responsible people, and work with the supply and demand teams to optimize purchasing patterns and inventory management to drive cost savings including calculating and applying economic order quantity (EOQ)
• Conduct annual performance reviews with suppliers and identify potential risks and opportunities
• Provide the team with annual overview of supplier capabilities to identify new opportunities, product improvement and potential cost savings or increases as part of the planning process

Work Conditions :

Role is office work requiring regular communication with suppliers and cross function partners

Requires some work hour flexibility and international travel to connect with international

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Supply Chain Certifications are an asset
• Minimum 7 years in procurement / sourcing of CPG / OTC products from International sources and related experience
• Results oriented, effectively executing a diverse range of projects
• Proactive leadership and initiative to manage projects effectively and independently
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated exceptional collaboration skills, effectively working with others to achieve common goals
• Bilingual Advantage : Proficiency in both French and English due to communication with authorities out of province and external partners
• Strong knowledge of CPG / OTC products and regulatory requirements
• Experience working within Pharmaceutical company an asset
• Excellent knowledge of Procurement and Sourcing best practices, policies and regulations
• Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management
• Proficiency in MS Office, excel, power point and SAP
