INSPECTOR LEVEL B (nuclear industry) (hourly rate of pay $45.55)

We have opportunities for you to join our production team as an Inspector Level B (nuclear industry) at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario.

Primary Function :

To perform all tasks of a NDE Inspector Level B and to conduct non-destructive examinations.

Tasks :

• Perform NDE based on certifications in all areas of the Shop.
• Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.
• Create inspection reports, maintain and file documentation.
• Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
• Communicate effectively with internal team members (i.e. peers, production leadership, Project Management, Engineering) as well as customer representatives.
• Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety and environmental guidelines / regulations.
• Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.

Qualifications :

• Proven commitment to workplace safety.
• Must possess either MT CGSB-2 OR PT CGSB-2 PLUS 2 of the following 6 :
• CEDO
• UT CGSB-1
• RT CGSB-1
• 2 years as a Fabrication / Machining inspector within BWXT Canada Ltd.;
• 5 years as Fabrication / Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company or 5 years Fitting / Welding experience within BWXT Canada Ltd.;
• Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2).
• Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry.
• Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
• Proficient with computer software.
• Must be available to work any of the following shifts :
• Days : 6 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm. (Mon Thurs)
• Nights : 4 : 00 p.m. 2 : 00 a.m. (Mon Thurs)

Weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun 33 hrs paid 40 hrs)

Days : 6 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm.

Nights : 5 : 00 p.m. 4 : 00 a.m.
