Regent Strategics, in partnership with Persistent Systems , is seeking an experienced Java Developer with exposure to PHP frameworks . This hybrid opportunity in Toronto offers an excellent environment to work on enterprise-level applications, REST APIs, and modern backend technologies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in Java development and a willingness to expand their skill set with PHP.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Core Java , J2EE , and Spring Framework .
• Work on Spring Boot , Spring MVC , and Hibernate projects to build efficient backend systems.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and integrate GraphQL protocols for modern API interactions.
• Collaborate in a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment.
• Write clean, secure, and maintainable code following best Java coding practices.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews , and architecture planning .
• Debug and resolve complex issues with precision and efficiency.
• Understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining high code quality.
