Assurance Manager

OurBurlington office has an immediate opening for a fulltime ManagerAssurance.
Reportingto the Partners you will be responsiblefor :
- Reviewing (andamending as necessary) all Review and / or Compilation Engagementdocuments to be issued to the client including;
- working papersfinancial statements planning documents notes attached schedulemanagement letters and tax returns;
- Providingconstructive criticism of working papers for Review and / orCompilation Engagements and offering guidance and direction tostaff working on the file;
- Actively engages innetworking opportunities with referral sources and businessdevelopment with potential and / or existingclients;
- Attends the Assurance and / orCompilation Engagement final meeting with the client andcontributes towards discussions;
- Identifyingplanning opportunities for clients;
- Ensuringall queries and outstanding points have been resolvedsatisfactorily;
- Assisting with the clientbilling process;
- Delegating sections of thefile to junior staff members based on their knowledge experienceand capabilities and ensuring that staff are properly supervisedduring the completion of eachprocedure;
- Coaching staff by providing supportand development and by conducting performance evaluations if deemedappropriate.
Thesuccessful candidate willhave :
- Graduate of aUniversity Accounting Program orequivalent
- Chartered Professional Accountant(CPA) Designation
- 25 years postdesignationexperience in a public accountingFirm
- Experience in an oversightrole
- Thorough understanding and experience withGAAP / GAAS ASPE CAS and CIS and CanadianTaxation
