The role

Are you naturally curious? Do you like to uncover opportunities and solve problems? The Market Research Analyst is a new role that supports the Marketing and Technology teams to provide market, client, and consumer intelligence so the business can make better informed decisions on product features, positioning, messaging, and marketing strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analysis for various departments within the organization
  • Conduct regular analysis of competitive landscape to identify strengths and opportunities to enhance product and market positioning.
  • Present and communicate complicated data in a user-friendly fashion, such as graphs, charts, or other visual aids.
  • Stay up to date on business and economic developments relevant to financial services industry and remain fully informed on market trends, other parties research, and recommend best practice
  • Act as subject matter expert to advice, write and implement surveys that support the organization’s business objectives.
  • Oversee survey process including set-up, programming, testing, data collection, coding, and data tabulation
  • Monitor and report on research project progress while ensuring budget, timeline and deliverables are met

What you bring

  • 2+ years’ experience in a research environment (Market Research certifications are a value-add)
  • Full understanding of research techniques, information sources, and statistical analysis / analytic techniques
  • Comfortable working with survey software like Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, etc.
  • Strong quantitative research, analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Familiar with research database tools such as Statista, Gartner, etc.
  • Strong written and communications skills
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to support strategy / decisions.
  • Passionate about understanding customers and interpreting their need
  • Interest in financial services and technology industries an asset
