Lawson Clark & Oldman LLP is one of Durham Region’s most respected and long-established law firms. We’re looking for an experienced Corporate Law Clerk (minimum 1–2 years) to join our collaborative team in Ajax.
- You’ll work on a variety of corporate and commercial files, managing transactions from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, proactive and comfortable working independently while contributing to a supportive team environment. The role will require from time to time administrative support to the Real Estate department as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare corporate documents (incorporations, amendments, annual resolutions, dissolutions, etc.)Manage corporate and commercial closings, including drafting and organizing closing documentsConduct corporate and PPSA searches and registrationsMaintain and update corporate minute books and registersCommunicate directly with clients, lawyers, and third parties to ensure deadlines are metDraft correspondence and manage follow-ups efficientlyProvide occasional administrative support to the Real Estate department as neededQualifications
Law Clerk Diploma from an accredited Ontario collegeMinimum 1–2 years’ corporate law experience in a law firm settingStrong knowledge of the OBCA , CBCA , and related legislationProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent communication, time management, and client service skillsAbility to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environmentExperience in real estate law or providing administrative support to a real estate team is an assetExperience with corporate entity data management systems an assetWhy Join Us
