- Applying your expertise in optics to improve our test & measurement techniques;
- Sharing your advanced knowledge of optical technologies with the team to further team growth;
- Developing test measurement techniques to characterize critical optical parameters;
- Designing test cases to properly validate the operation of critical product features;
- Implementing automated test code and scripts that improve our test coverage and the quality of our results;
- Applying best practices and contributing to the ongoing improvement of team processes and test execution; and,
- Analyzing and characterizing optical, hardware and software failures and reporting them to relevant designers using our internal process and tools
What experience will allow you the greatest success in this role?
- Desire to succeed and to do things right the first time;
- Demonstrated technical expertise in active optical components;
- Team guidance skills;
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills;
- Good understanding of test plans, test execution, and bug reporting;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Basic understanding of hardware concepts;
- Experience in software development, instrumentation and automation is an asset;
- 2+ years towards a degree in Computer / Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or equivalent.
