Position Details
What you will do :
- Leads, manages and develops the Auto Damage Appraisal Unit to maximize full performance potential through creating unit-wide training aligned with individual developmental goals
- Ensures Appraisals are being handled in line with service level agreements and in compliance with internal protocols and external legislative requirements
- Oversee and support Mitchell Estimatics, addressing Mitchell issues on an on-going basis and implement continuous change management efficiently
- Liaison with PD Unit Managers to ensure procedures are followed and provide continued support to PD Team
- Conducts quality and administrative file audits, record findings and proactively report concerns / issues to upper management
- Accountable for the customer experience as delivered by the team, ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered internally and externally
Who you are :
- Post-secondary education required combined with comparable experience in automotive collision repair or automotive mechanical repair industry
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Collision Estimator or Insurance Appraiser
- Preferred qualifications - Class A Motor Vehicle Technician or apprentice / Class B Body Repair Technician or apprentice / Certification in Motive Power Technology / Basic Estimating Course
- Strong organizational; decision making and problem solving skillset with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced technical knowledge of vehicle damage analysis
- Advanced negotiation skills and investigative logic
- Progressive experience in training / mentoring / coaching employees
