- About the team and this role :
- The Client Relationship Management team serves as the ambassador and primary relationship leads for IMCO’s institutional clients and prospect relationships. Given the critical importance of client partners to IMCO, the team also leads core organizational initiatives and activities to enhance the client experience and serves as the client voice and advocate within IMCO.The Associate will serve as a key member of a dynamic and high-performing Client Relationship Management team and will report into the Manager, Client Reporting. IMCO’s Client Relationship Management team is responsible for managing and strengthening relationships and is accountable to providing high quality service and reporting deliverables to IMCO’s institutional client partners. The team also plays a critical role in IMCO’s business development activities through building and cultivating relationships with prospective institutional clients in Ontario’s public sector and oversees the onboarding and integration of new client relationships into IMCO. As part of the Client Relationship Management team, the Associate will support client-facing relationship managers and contribute to the delivery of high-quality and timely support and servicing to IMCO’s institutional clients. This role will also involve working closely with internal teams to coordinate the preparation of investment and risk reporting, investment strategy reviews, updates on strategic initiatives and other key client deliverables on a wide range of IMCO investment strategies, risk oversight and end-to-end solutions.
- As a Member of Our Team, You Will be Responsible For :
- Working directly with relationship managers to provide best-in-class investment and risk reporting, servicing, and support to IMCO’s institutional clients
- Managing an existing client schedule of monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables
- Collaborating with IMCO teams to coordinate and produce accurate and timely investment and risk performance reporting as well as other client deliverables
- Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of IMCO's range of investment, risk and operational offerings and solutions
- Partnering with portfolio managers and investment and risk specialists to coordinate and develop high quality presentation materials for client meetings
- Gathering data and related information to quickly respond to client information requests + Supporting relationship managers in client meetings and internal CRM team meetings, producing meeting summary notes, and assisting with action items and related follow-ups + Collaboratively working within the Client Relationship Management team to establish long-standing trusted advisor partnerships with institutional clients through IMCO’s CRM framework + Maintaining and updating content on IMCO’s client portal to ensure accuracy, usability, and timely access to key information for institutional clients
- A Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- Progress towards CFA designation is strongly preferred.
- 2 years of previous experience working within the investment industry or other relevant field
- Institutional client relationship management experience within the investment industry is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in the financial markets and investments
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently
- Technical skills must include a strong background and advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.The base salary range for this position is CAD $70,000.00 - $100,000.00. The placement within the range is determined by the range of market pay for the specific position, as well as the candidate's knowledge, skillset and experience relative to the requirements of the position and to internal peers.
