Host / Hostess - MRHH Food Services (Acute Care)

Job Description

The host / hostess is responsible for assisting patients with meals including meal selection, service and retrieval, in accordance with the patient’s dietary needs / restrictions. You will assist patients with making appropriate daily menu selections. You will prepare, assemble and deliver patient meal trays and snacks. You will calculate modified diets / fluid restrictions, calories, etc. You will also perform various kitchen duties including sanitation, set-up and completing temperature logs and use an automated tablet to record and transfer meal selections to computer.

What must you have?

• Completion of High School Education or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current and valid Food Safety Proton Certificate from Public Health.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a host / hostess.
