Role : Senior Programmer / Developer (four positions)
Responsibilities
Designing and developing Web Applications using the Microsoft .NET Framework , compiling data-driven programs, unit testing and coordinating quality assurance and user acceptance. The resource will also be required to prepare and coordinate user, system and operations documentation.
Experience
Candidates should have at least three years of experience developing Web-based, Windows-based, or distributed applications by using the Microsoft .NET Framework. Candidates should have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio 2008 and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services development.

Specific Functional Knowledge or Background
Knowledge and experience with Object-Oriented programming, distributed and multi tiered applications
Knowledge and experience in Client-Server structured environment
Experience with middleware and gateways
Experience with and knowledge of the processes and procedures of large Municipal / Law Enforcement Departments would be an asset
Project Management skills and experience are highly desirable

Transfer of Knowledge
Document any changes to programs, scripts, operating instructions, methodology and architecture.
Work day is 7 hours, Monday to Friday excluding statutory holidays; working hours are 08 : 30 to 16 : 30 with one hour unpaid lunch. In case of a production problem there may be an occasional need for overtime or work outside of regularly scheduled hours.
Term of Engagement
This engagement is estimated to begin Jan 3, 2011 for a period of approximately 12 months.
