We areseeking a talented Database Engineer to design build and maintainthe backbone of our data infrastructure ensuring it is reliablescalable and optimized forperformance.

JobSummary :

As aDatabase Engineer you will be responsible for the architecturedevelopment and maintenance of database systems that support ourapplications and services.

You will work closely with softwareengineers data analysts and DevOps teams to ensure our databasesare efficient secure and capable of handling large volumes of data.

Your role will also involve optimizing existing database structuresautomating processes and implementing best practices for datamanagement.

KeyResponsibilities :

• Designdevelop and optimize database architectures to meet the performancescalability and security needs of ourapplications.
• Implementand maintain database schemas tables views indexes and storedprocedures.
• Collaboratewith software development teams to design data models that supportapplicationrequirements.
• Ensuredata integrity and consistency across distributed systems andenvironments.
• Developand implement strategies for database monitoring performance tuningand capacityplanning.
• Automateroutine database tasks such as backups performance monitoring anddisaster recoveryprocesses.
• Workwith DevOps teams to integrate database solutions into CI / CDpipelines and cloudenvironments.
• Manageand optimize database storage indexing and queryperformance.
• Implementand enforce database security policies including access controlsandencryption.
• Staycurrent with emerging database technologies industry trends andbestpractices.
• Troubleshootand resolve complex database issues in productionenvironments.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a relatedfield.
• 5years of experience in database engineering or a relatedrole.
• Strongproficiency in SQL and experience with DBMS such as SQL ServerMySQL PostgreSQL orOracle.
• Experiencewith database design data modeling and normalizationtechniques.
• Handsonexperience with database performance tuning indexing and queryoptimization.
• Familiaritywith cloudbased database solutions (e.g. AWS RDS Azure SQLDatabase) and their associatedservices.
• Proficiencyin scripting languages (e.g. Python Shell PowerShell) for databaseautomation.
• Knowledgeof database security practices including encryption and accesscontrolmechanisms.
• Strongproblemsolving and analytical skills with the ability totroubleshoot complex databaseissues.
• Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills with the ability to workeffectively in a teamenvironment.

PreferredQualifications :

• Experiencewith NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDBCassandra).
• Familiaritywith big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark) and data warehousingsolutions.
• Experiencewith DevOps tools and practices related to databasemanagement.
• Relevantcertifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified : Azure Database EngineerOracle CertifiedProfessional).

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or arelated field. 5+ years of experience in database engineering or arelated role.

Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with DBMSsuch as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. Experience withdatabase design, data modeling, and normalization techniques.

Hands-on experience with database performance tuning, indexing, andquery optimization. Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions(e.

g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) and their associated services.Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell,PowerShell) for database automation.

Knowledge of database securitypractices, including encryption and access control mechanisms.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability totroubleshoot complex database issues.

Excellent communication andcollaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in ateam environment.
