Salary : $90,000 - $120,000

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Plan, direct, and coordinate accounting operational functions specifically : AP, AR, general ledger, taxation, payroll and inter-company transactions
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of overall business results.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.
- Organize and prepare internal and external financial statements.
- Coordinate activities with external auditors.
- Oversee cash flow management
- Evaluate accounting and internal control systems.
- Work closely with management to assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes.
- Hire, train, and retain skilled accounting staff.
- Oversee a division of the business, leading the day-to-day accounting activities
- Prepare and report quarterly financial results
- Collects and compiles financial data at the business unit level
- Oversee periodic tax compliance reporting, particularly related to the preparation and submission of Provincial & Federal sales taxes, payroll remittances and corporate taxes
- Manage the Companys compliance reporting to banks, insurance brokers and other external parties
- Review the ongoing financial system requirements for the organization ensuring upgrades are implemented
Qualifications and Requirements :
University Degree in Business or related fieldMinimum 3 to 5 years of experience : Certified Professional AccountantThorough knowledge of Canadian GAAPStrong fundamental accounting skillsKnowledge of project management / distributionStrong skills in MS OfficeAble to work within tight reporting deadlinesAble to work in a fast paced environmentStrong attention to detail playerKnowledge of Acumatica software preferredWhy Join Us?
