Position Overview :
Our client is a well-established engineering firm. Due to growth, they are looking to add an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to their team in a role that offers challenges and growth in a fast-growing company.
Further Responsibilities Include the Following :
- Conduct thorough analysis and problem-solving for control systems to ensure peak performance and dependability.
- Provide oversight on tendering, contract administration, schedule, and budget to ensure projects are completed to specification
- Write and review technical reports, specifications, and construction specifications
- Develop single-line diagrams, logic diagrams, wiring drawings, and layout plans
- Provide coordination with various departments and disciplines as required for project implementation, mine design, and inspection
- Design, specification and integration of complete automation systems including PLC, HMI, DCS, and communication networks
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and trends to offer inventive solutions for advancing our technological capacities.
Ideal Candidate Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering within the Heavy Industrial industry.
- Registered as a P.Eng with EGBC or APEGA
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with equipment selection and sizing for switches, transformers, and power and load distributions
- Demonstrate technical competency, safety leadership, and sustainability understanding.
