BAR SUSU is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the service team as a shift lead.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The position will be a blend of serving the dining room, assisting with operational tasks as needed, and completing closing duties on scheduled close shifts.
As a shift lead, you will not only orchestrate the dining room experience and provide unparalleled service to our guests, but you will also demonstrate strong leadership skills and be a key member of the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
DINING ROOM
- Prepare the dining area for service, ensuring the room is set to welcome guests with our standard of excellence.
- Check and perfect all details, from table setting to the ambiance, to guarantee a successful service.
GUEST EXPERIENCE & ENGAGEMENT
- Provide attentive and personalized service.
- Address guest or service concerns or issues in the absence of the restaurant manager.
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our menus, to enhance guest interactions and satisfaction.
- Actively engage in learning sessions and team briefings to deepen your understanding of our restaurant's ethos.
CLOSING & CLEANLINESS
- Execute end-of-service duties with efficiency, ensuring the dining area is reset, cleaned, and ready for the following service.
- Adhere to all cleaning protocols, maintaining an immaculate dining environment.
- Complete closing cashouts and lock up following closing shifts.
TEAM ENGAGEMENT & CULTURE
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive atmosphere, supporting and collaborating with your team to provide a cohesive guest experience.
- Contribute to team dynamics with a cooperative spirit and open communication.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and share knowledge with team members and contribute to the successful integration of new staff.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience with a love of food and wine, and a desire to continue to grow and learn in an ever-changing environment.
- Strong wine knowledge is a must - preferably WEST 2+.
- Serving it Right Certification.
