Our reputable client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Director of Finance to join the company. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team.

Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Finance serves as the cross-functional business partner with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and R& I in order to generate business insight and forecasting / budgeting ability.
This position will oversee a team of FP& A’s that handles pricing and modelling, analytics into sales, costing of inventory relating to materials, labour and overhead, liquidity as well as capital investment ROI.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Cross functional business partner with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain etc.
- Build strong relationships with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and R& I and establish processes that allow for relevant and accurate information to be incorporated into rolling forecasts, that map risks and opportunities with impacts on replenishment orders and future projects
- Manage the FP& A team, providing direction, coaching / mentoring, and performance management
- Assist with rolling sales and margin forecast and annual budget analysis and preparation
- Responsible for direct and indirect labour cost, raw materials, packaging materials, and manufacturing overhead allocation in standard costing, and how to align with financial reporting
- Perform revenue, COGS, and O / H variance analysis on a monthly basis, YTD, and trends
- Coordinate costing of new or existing SKU’s
- Oversee pricing and modeling for RFPs that supports revenue growth and margin generation
- Identify and communicate projected impacts on financial results, capital investments, and operational planning, and bridge new deals into the forecast on a periodic basis
- Lead monthly sales forecast, performance review and map new initiatives to deliver better visibility on project / customer profitability, forecast accuracy and line-of-sight achievement

- Postsecondary education in Business or Accounting, along with equivalent work experience
- CPA designation
- Minimum 6-8 years of progressive leadership experience of financial analysis / budgeting in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5-years of people management, leading / coaching and mentoring.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivots).
- Exposure to Business Intelligence solutions (Power BI, Tableau, Hyperion, Smartsheet, etc.)
- Strong commercial and finance acumen, business partnering skills
- Strong negotiation, presentation and thought leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
