On Site Position

Our client in Edmonton is looking for an experienced municipal / civil engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in water drainage, water systems, and sewer systems.

This role involves planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of municipal infrastructure projects to ensure the water and sewer systems are efficient, sustainable, and compliant with all regulations.

Responsibilities :

  • Plan, design, and manage municipal water, sewer, and drainage system project
  • Develop engineering solutions to address drainage issues and enhance water and sewer system performance.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for proposed projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project reports, budgets, and schedules to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all water, sewer, and drainage systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of existing systems to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • APEGA Certified, or working towards certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a focus on water drainage, water systems, and sewer systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as Civil 3D and SolidWorks
  • Strong knowledge of local, provincial, and federal regulations related to water and sewer systems.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
