Agropur is looking for a Manager, Engineering PMO & Project Governance
(vacant position) to join its team based at Don Mills.
The Manager, Engineering PMO & Project Governance is accountable for the end-to-end operation and continuous improvement of Agropur’s engineering project governance, project controls, and portfolio performance management.
This role ensures that capital projects are governed, tracked, and reported with rigor and consistency across the enterprise. The Manager acts as the single point of accountability for PMO execution, translating governance expectations into practical tools, discipline, and actionable insights that enable Engineering leaders to deliver results.
This role is execution- and systems-oriented, partnering closely with Engineering Directors, Finance, and cross-functional teams. Enterprise engineering strategy and technical standards are owned by the Director of Global Technical Services & Governance.

Salary range 007 : $126,600 to $158,300 (Base salary will be determined based on academic background, experience, training, and job-related skills).
What’s involved in this role :
The Manager, Engineering PMO & Project Governance will be responsible for :
Own the implementation and ongoing operation of Agropur’s engineering project governance framework, lifecycle, and stage-gate processes.
Ensure consistent application of governance requirements across Run-the-Business and strategic capital projects.
Lead gate review preparation, governance cadence, and compliance monitoring; identify risks, gaps, and deviations.
Maintain and continuously improve governance documentation, templates, playbooks, and guidance materials.
Own project controls standards and execution, including cost tracking, schedule management, forecasting, change control, and risk management.
Lead enterprise-level portfolio tracking, performance analysis, and reporting, providing clear insights on trends, risks, and variances.
Partner with Finance and Engineering leadership to support capital planning, forecasting accuracy, re-baselining, and scenario analysis.
Prepare materials and recommendations for portfolio and capital governance forums.
Lead a small PMO / back-office support team responsible for tools administration, reporting, document control, and execution support.
Serve as the primary owner and administrator of PMO tools (e.g., Smartsheet PPM, SAP interfaces, Estimation Tool, etc.).
Enable Engineering teams through standardized templates, controls, and practical execution support.
Build and sustain a project management community of practice within Engineering, supporting capability and consistency.
Drive continuous improvement in project execution discipline, governance effectiveness, and PMO efficiency.
Act as a change leader, supporting adoption of governance and project controls across a matrixed organization.
Collaborate cross-functionally (Finance, Procurement, Legal, Operations, IT) to align capital execution processes end-to-end.
Identify and proactively remove friction points that slow project execution or reduce transparency.
What You Need to Join Our Team :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
PMP or equivalent project management certification required; MBA or advanced degree an asset.
10+ years of experience in capital project delivery, project controls, PMO operations, or engineering execution in manufacturing or food environments.
Demonstrated experience operating enterprise PMO frameworks and project controls in complex, matrixed organizations.
Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, earned value concepts, and capital performance reporting.
Proficiency with project and capital tools (SAP, Smartsheet, MS Project or equivalent).
Strong executive-level communication, judgment, and influencing skills.
