Position : Jr Project Manager

Location : Calgary (3 days onsite)

Duration : 11 Months (extendable)

Responsibilities :

Project Coordination :

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing project tasks under the guidance of senior project managers, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project timelines.
  • Communication : Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and potential challenges.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.

Summarize key project metrics and report them to the project management team.

Risk Management : Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success, and work collaboratively to develop and implement mitigation strategies.

Escalate issues promptly to ensure timely resolution.

  • Resource Allocation : Assist in managing project resources, including team members, materials, and budgets. Collaborate with senior project managers to optimize resource allocation for project efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement : Contribute to the refinement of project management processes and methodologies. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance project delivery and overall team effectiveness.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Client facing experience.
  • Experience working on IT projects with IT teams.
  • Exposure to ITIL & ITSM practices.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to dynamic project environments.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
