Job description

Adecco is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our client's team in Ajax, ON. This is currently an ongoing on-call position ideal for someone who is flexible, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patients at the clinic.

  • Pay rate : $18-$19 / hour.
  • Location : Ajax, ON
  • Job type : On-call | Ongoing -Casual

    • Responsibilities :

  • Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming clinic environment.
  • Answer phone calls, manage inquiries, and schedule appointments.
  • Check patients in and out; verify insurance and update records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards.
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and handle daily cash reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers for smooth clinic operations.
  • Maintain an organized reception area.
  • Perform general administrative tasks including filing, faxing, scanning, and email correspondence.
  • Handle urgent patient requests with professionalism and empathy.
  • Provide support to the team with ad-hoc tasks as needed.

    • Requirements :

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a clinical setting (preferred).
  • Strong customer service skills and a patient-first mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling systems and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (an asset).
  • Flexibility to work on-call with daytime shifts.
