Medical Receptionist

Adecco is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our client's team in Ajax, ON. This is an ongoing on-call position ideal for someone who is flexible, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment. Set hours will be introduced starting July 2026, with on-call availability required until then. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patients at the clinic.

Pay rate : $18-$19 / hour.

New and quicker onboarding process Responsibilities :

Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming clinic environment.

Answer phone calls, manage inquiries, and schedule appointments.

Check patients in and out; verify insurance and update records.

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards.

Process payments, issue receipts, and handle daily cash reconciliation.

Coordinate with healthcare providers for smooth clinic operations.

Maintain an organized reception area.

Perform general administrative tasks including filing, faxing, scanning, and email correspondence.

Handle urgent patient requests with professionalism and empathy.

Provide support to the team with ad-hoc tasks as needed. Requirements :

Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a clinical setting (preferred).

Strong customer service skills and a patient-first mindset.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency with scheduling systems and basic computer applications.

Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of medical terminology (an asset).
