Sales Manager
What you will do
Build, train, strategize, and lead a remote team of Direct Account Executives. Responsible for managing relationships and growing medium to large accounts along with their team and ideally bringing with them a book of business.
The position requires identifying specific segments and industry verticals. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of the Canadian telecom landscape, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Build the Sales team by actively participating in the recruitment process of Account Executives
- Develops the team strategy and metrics that will promote account growth
- Provides day-to-day leadership, performance management, coaching, and development to the Sales team
- Manages the team’s activities, performance, and KPIs according to the developed strategy
- Helps the Sales team develop, forecast, manage, close sales, and meet / exceed monthly quotas
- Assist with planning targeted marketing campaigns
- Identify specific segments and industry verticals to approach with a joint value proposition
- Work closely with the internal iTel team to develop a highly automated and scalable onboarding program based on self-service
- Drive sustainable growth and profitability by ensuring iTel services are critical to the customers' overall business objectives and success
- Keep current with iTel’s product release information including sales materials, product roadmaps, features, applications and competition.
Ensure the team is trained and knowledgeable on iTel Product suite as it relates to the target customers
- Actively engage and participate in social selling through regular social media activities.
- Travel when necessary to events and conferences to represent iTel.
- Manage, update, and maintain an accurate and healthy sales funnel.
- Achieve monthly personal and team quota

In addition to the base salary, this position offers variable compensation.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field plus five years’ recent, sales leadership experience.
Sales experience in the telecommunications industry is an asset. A combination of education, skills, and experience may be considered.
