This position is part of the asset management team within the EnPower Technical services team reporting to the Supervisor, Asset Management and will play a key role in providing expertise in developing and implementing ATCO EnPower’s Asset Management Policy & Governance.
The Business Analyst (Maximo) will develop and implement an asset management road map, drive continuous improvement through business processes & procedures and will help in adopting new technologies that integrate with Maximo, which is the EAM software within ATCO EnPower.
You will also be responsible for leading configuration activities, managing system changes and influencing Maximo system administration through Maximo Working Committee .
This role will interact with internal and external parties at all levels, and is expected to consistently apply exceptional interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
Having a customer service approach and setting priorities and allocating necessary resources on a day-to-day and long-term basis are essential functions to satisfying the primary requirements of this position.
What You Get To Do :
- Follow IT project intake process and develop business cases for the approval of capital projects.
- Define and document business use-cases. Develop and maintain EAM software (Maximo) improvement plans, roadmaps, and priority lists.
- Collaborate with IT resources for inclusion and documentation of business requirements, functional and non-functional technical requirements, and support project management documentation
- Connect with Business Relationship Manager, IT Project Delivery Office / Demand Management Team, Enterprise Architects, and Solution Architects.
- Translate business requirements into individual project scopes and project plans.
- Develop project forecast and allocate annual budget.
- Coordinate, execute and support project management staged gate process.
- Understand the current state, recommend future-state, and develop & maintain a multi-year roadmap.
- Perform RFP process, vendor evaluations, and coordinate with IT Vendor Management
- Understand and validate proposed technical solutions against business requirements.
- Communicate with key stakeholders and leadership on program updates and project status updates.
- Progress Maximo Program and Asset management enhancement projects (, Scheduling tools, digital inspection forms, mobile solution, configuration, integrations, etc.,).
- Collaborate and assist in the development and maintenance of Asset Management Information System (Maximo) program including governance policies and procedures.
- Work towards Operationalizing EAM software (Maximo) as a sole source of truth for asset management information.
- Support business testing during projects solution (, test scripts, user acceptance testing, parallel testing, etc. as required).
- Provide necessary technical support including development and delivery of EAM (Maximo) related training to other business units.
- Establish a continuous feedback loop to serve as input for organizational procedural update and improvements.
Who You Are :
- Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business / Commerce. A Business Analyst certification is preferred but not a requirement.
- A minimum of years’ experience in Enterprise Asset Management solutions, preferably in Maximo, or similar.
- Proven ability to interface with both IT and Business (office and field) personnel.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) in conjunction with EAM (Maximo) preferred, but experience in other tools may be considered as well.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently, take initiative and function with a high degree of professionalism.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and the ability to work as an effective team member.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present critical information to field operations and company management in a simple and concise manner.
- Ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible and steadfast.
- Basic understanding and experience with Database management, including data collecting, sorting, cleaning, and visualization.
