Building Operator Engineer
A typical day would involve :
- On a proactive, and as necessary re-active, basis to ensure all HVAC, lighting, electrical, plumbing, elevator, and other systems are operating according to both regulatory requirements and Vancity standards.
- Assist the Building Project and Operations Manager in the oversight of all third-party contract work required for the Vancity Centre building.
- Oversee all related third-party building contracts and payments of associated invoices for work completed within these contracts.
- Ensure, through working with ITS staff accountable for the operations of the data centre on the third floor, that core power and cooling systems are fully operational and that any redundant systems required by ITS are operational as needed are in place and are tested on a regular basis.

You have :
- Post-secondary education in building operations.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in building operation.
- 5th Class Power Engineering ticket. A 4th Class ticket would be helpful.

Working Hours : Monday to Friday 7 : 30 am - 3 : 30 pm
The salary range for the role is $ 56,500.00 to $84,700.00 and a candidate’s offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role ($70,600).
The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill
