Mission

Your Role

The Junior Buyer will support the procurement function by assisting with the sourcing, purchasing, and coordination of goods and services in accordance with organizational policies, budgets, and regulatory requirements. The role contributes to cost control, supply continuity, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Contribute to applying the global procurement strategy

within the assigned portfolio, following guidance from the Corporate Procurement Director and Procurement Manager for North America

Assist in implementing procurement policies, CSR criteria, and basic risk assessments

Manage procurement projects (including preparing documentation, tracking timelines, and coordinating with internal teams)

Help identify procurement opportunities that can create value for the company, particularly during budget planning

Assist in spend analysis in collaboration with internal stakeholders and the finance department

Conduct initial supplier sourcing and market research

Prepare specifications in collaboration with internal stakeholders (quality, legal, production, EHS, etc.)

Launch and monitor calls for tenders

Help ensure proper execution of commercial agreements (delivery times, pricing, product / service quality)

Monitor technological and market trends relevant to assigned categories

Assist legal department in drafting and updating supplier contracts and identifying potential risks

Contribute to analyzing supplier proposals and supporting negotiations on pricing, lead times, and quality in alignment with financial objectives

Implement and track supplier improvement plans

Monitor strategic suppliers within the assigned portfolio (business reviews, audits)

Update procurement dashboards (performance plan

monitoring, procurement project sheets, etc.

Provide weekly updates to the Procurement Manager

Profile

Your Profile

  • Post secondary education in procurement and / or purchasing (or related field of study)
  • 2 - 3 years of experience working directly in procurement and purchasing
  • Understanding of supply chain management principles (purchasing processes, RFQ's, supplier communication, data analysis, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and support decision making
  • Negotiating skills
  • Customer focused (internally and externally)

Awareness of change‑management concepts and the ability to adapt to

evolving processes and organizational needs

Understanding of basics of commercial law (key

contractual clauses)

Basic project‑management

skills to support sourcing initiatives, timelines, and cross‑functional

coordination

Excellent in English language (written

and verbal)
