Long-term, 1 year+ contract for an operator just outside of Edmonton! Agilus is recruiting for a Turnaround Operator in the Oil&Gas Industry in Sturgeon County, Alberta.
The Turnaround Support Operator will provide hands on active role in the control of field work hazards during shutdown and start-up of new and existing equipment and process systems.
The Turnaround Support Operator will work a 40 hour / week dayshift schedule and transition to a 12-hour, rotating, day / night schedule during the Shutdown, Turnaround and Start-up phase.
- Responsibilities : Issue work permits to maintenance craft and facilities contractors for piping & equipment repairs and alterations ensuring work is safe to commence;
- Responsible to identify all operational preparations (e.g. isolations) required prior to work commencing;Ensure Work Permits are clearly reflective of what precautions needed to be taken during the work, including use of safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
- Supports Operations field activities (process unit activities);Attends monthly safety meetings for Unit / Crew assigned to Make recommendations to improve the reliability, safety and quality of plant operations;
- Successful candidates will have : Previous experience in Refinery / Upgrader, commissioning, Turnaround, and start-up activities;
- Minimum ABSA 4th Class Power Engineering requiredIdeally 8+ years Process Operating ExperienceWilling to work a rotating shift schedule including nights, weekends, holidaysAble to climb ladders and stairs;
