Introduction

THE ROLE

Keep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs. Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.

Under the supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor, the Aquafit instructor plans, organizes and delivers Aquafit classes. They will prepare class schedules, design programs, assist with advertising and public relations, record, monitor and report program attendance, and maintain current certification and abilities required to conduct aqua fitness classes.

Qualifications Needed

Education, Certifications and Licenses

• Acceptable combination of education, training and / or experience will be considered.
• Fitness Leaders Certification – Aquafitness module.
• Current CPR and Standard First Aid Qualifications.
• Current Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Operator Certificate.
• HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development Certification and Quest 2 certification, HIGH FIVE, as required.

Language Requirements

English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset. Reading : None. Writing : None. Oral : Functional.

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location. As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.
