You’ll be part of a team of over 200 employees across 5 offices, including Toronto, Mississauga, Aurora, Ottawa, and Calgary.

You will independently carry a case load of litigation files, from start to finish, involving the defense of auto claims, accident benefits, bodily injury, commercial lines, property, subrogation, and coverage work.

More specifically, you will be required to :

• You’re skilled at independently carrying a case load of files, from start to finish
• You’re able to provide assessments to our claims partners on liability and quantum of damages
• You excel at drafting opinions, pleadings, and motions
• You enjoy conducting Examinations for Discovery
• You take charge when attending case-conferences, LAT hearings / arbitrations as well as Court for motions, pre-trials and trials
• You are passionate and interested in sharing and contributing to the growth of legal knowledge with your colleagues

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), or a Juris Doctor (J.D.), Degree or NCA Certificate of Qualification
• 5 years of proven experience in insurance defence
• A member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
• Experience with trials and / or arbitrations
