Reporting to the Manager, HR Systems, the Sr. Specialist, HR Systems will fully engage in the implementation and support of Oracle HCM Cloud applications while aligning business processes in HCM core, recruitment, onboarding, talent, benefits, payroll and learning.
The Specialist is also responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of HR reports, as well as providing analytics support to convert HR data into actionable insights.
This role involves ensuring data consistency across HR systems, supporting, and building effective data visualizations, preparing custom or ad-hoc reports and presentations on key HR metrics, and driving process improvements.
Note : This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.
What you’ll do
- Provides system support for Oracle HCM Cloud applications, including troubleshooting, incident management, access administration, and release management.
- Leads the ongoing design, development, and maintenance of HR reports to provide accurate and timely insights.
- Provides support for reporting and analytics activities, including generating standard and ad-hoc reports to meet business needs.
- Ensures data consistency in HR systems by implementing and maintaining data quality standards and processes.
- Prepares and publishes various reports and presentations on key HR metrics and communicate data analysis in a clear and compelling way to audiences at varying levels.
- Provides technical expertise in HR analysis, using sophisticated analytical techniques to derive relevant insights from HR data.
- Contribute to and drive process improvements for the HR Systems team.
- Serves as an expert on configuration in HR systems, ensuring optimal system setup and customization to meet business requirements.
- Provides expert advice and support for enhancements or implementations of current and new HR systems, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize system functionality and usability.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7 - 10 years HR Systems support, reporting and analytics, or related roles.
- Proficiency in Business Intelligence and reporting tools such as Oracle FAW, Power BI, or SAP Analytics Cloud
- Strong background and understanding of Human Resources in conjunction with strong analytical aptitude and technical skills.
- Well organized task planner with the ability to scope projects in a highly detailed manner.
- Knowledge of Oracle HCM or other HRIS platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Exceptional data analytics skills, including quantitative modelling and advanced Excel functions including Power Pivot and Power Query.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with collaborators to influence desired outcome.

The estimated salary for this position is $103,500 - $126,500. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity.
The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
