One-Year Term Position
The First Nations University of Canada invites applications for an Assistant Professor position to be located at the Regina campus.
This position will appeal to those who enjoy teaching from an Indigenous perspective in an intimate and interactive class settings with a strong commitment to research and community service within Indigenous communities.

Duties and Qualifications :
The successful candidate will instruct, from an Indigenous perspective, a variety of introductory and senior undergraduate courses in English and Indigenous Literatures.
Applicants should have an interest in Indigenous protocols and working with Elders and communities, along with participation in university committee service.
The successful candidate will ideally have a PhD (or near completion) in English with a focus on Indigenous literatures and creative writing.
Excellence in research and publication is required, along with an established teaching record. Experience working, teaching, or living in a First Nations environment and ability to speak a First Nations language is an asset.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
