Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analyses to assess the bank's performance, including profitability, liquidity, and risk metrics.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances between actual and projected results.
- Prepare regular financial reports for management and stakeholders, summarizing financial performance and trends.
- Analyze market trends and economic conditions to provide insights that inform strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with various departments (e.g., risk management, compliance, operations) to gather data and provide insights.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the bank's operational efficiency and financial health.
- Ensure financial practices adhere to regulations and internal policies, assisting in audits and compliance checks.
- May perform special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed to support management in strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- CPA is an asset.
- Previous experience of 3 years in FP&A financial analysis or a related position, ideally in the banking / insurance sector (asset).
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong analytical skills, autonomy, and ability to work under pressure.
- Bilingual in French and English.
