The Credit Manager will be reporting to the Senior Finance Manager and will directly oversee the credit department at Liebherr Canada Ltd. (LCA). The primary responsibilities shall include managing the overall credit strategy at LCA while working directly with stakeholders to minimize operational risk. This strategy will include the management of the customer credit portfolio and key processes governed under the corporate credit policy.
Responsiblities
- Develop a department strategy aligned with the corporate business plan
- Manage the credit department team directly, organizing portfolio allocation, workload, and performance reviews
- Establish key performance metrics and collection targets
- Ownership of the corporate credit policy
- Develop key relationships both internally with sales and externally with customers to manage the collections process
- Review terms of business and legal contracts involving credit and provide advice and support accordingly
- Leverage and develop ERP and data dashboard technology (Microsoft Power BI) to create operational efficiencies
- Lead meetings with senior management surrounding policy updates and collection activities
- Mitigate bad debt exposure and work with involved parties to resolve disputes and collect on overdue accounts
- Complete customer visits with sales to gather operational insights and maintain key relationships
- Review customer statement reconciliations, credit limits, blocked accounts, and approve escalated collection procedures as needed
- Other tasks and responsibilities as required
Competencies
5-10 years of relative experience required.Extensive knowledge of credit management policies.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously and proactively.Strong English communication skills (verbal and written); French is an asset.Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external stakeholders.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (power pivot, advanced formulas) and ERP accounting systems.Our Offer
