They are currently seeking a Manager Financial Reporting & Lender Relations to lead and oversee their complex reporting requirements and guide their team.
As the Manager of Financial Reporting & Lender Relations, you will be a pivotal member of the financial team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.
You will collaborate closely with the project finance team and North American operations, taking the lead in financial reporting for key initiatives.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the month, quarter, and year-end close processes, generating complex financial reports, and enhancing audit preparation and reporting efficiencies.
Building strong internal and external relationships and monitoring financial performance metrics will be essential to your success.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Reporting
- Analyze financial data to prepare detailed reports for shareholders and stakeholders.
- Review financial statements to ensure compliance with corporate standards and deadlines.
- Coordinate external audits, manage schedules, and oversee internal controls related to financial reporting.
Lender Relations
- Lead a team of Accountants, ensuring all lender inquiries are addressed promptly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners to resolve any financial concerns.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure all reporting obligations and compliance requirements are met.
- Continuously review partnership agreements and financing documents to mitigate risks.
- Implement internal controls to maintain the integrity of the reporting function.
Ad Hoc Requirements
- Evaluate and streamline financial processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Leverage technology tools for workflow optimization.
- Maintain a proactive approach to ensure accuracy and reliability in financial reporting.
- Support M&A activities as needed.
The ideal candidate will hold a CPA designation and have 5-7 years of progressive experience within a Big 4 accounting firm or a publicly traded company.
A degree in Accounting or Business is required. You should have a strong understanding of IFRS and / or US GAAP reporting principles, with extensive experience in financial reporting, consolidated financial statements, and the closing process.
Advanced Excel skills and adaptability to financial reporting tools and systems are essential.
The Manager, Financial Reporting & Lender Relations will possess excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities, knowing how to engage and motivate a team to meet tight deadlines.
