Work environment

By joining our team, you will provide direct support to health services and community based programming. You will build and support strong working relationships with First Nations communities, families, and individuals with a focus on improving health outcomes and reducing health risks.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff a term position based out of Regina, Saskatchewan.

A pool of qualified or partially assessed candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements, various security requirements, various conditions of employment, various tenures (acting, assignment / secondment, deployment, term and / or indeterminate), and in various locations within Saskatchewan.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education :

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Environmental Public Health or Environmental Science

Occupational Certification :

Certificate in Public Health Inspection issued by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors

Experience :

  • Experience in dealing with environmental public health and occupational health and safety community programming
  • Experience using monitoring and testing equipment

Knowledge :

Knowledge of federal or provincial environmental public health legislation

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Public Health Sciences or equivalent
  • Experience working with First Nation communities or organizations
  • Knowledge of standards related to the provision of environmental public health
