The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Kamloops, BC is looking for an Associate to join a highly successful Private Investment Management team.

Your role on the team will be to provide administrative support, including high quality proactive & reactive customer service, assisting in relationships with new and existing clients.

What will you do?

  • Assist the Advisor team with client onboarding, including preparing and executing documentation.
  • Help manage incoming communications from clients, Advisors, and other internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate and prepare for meetings.
  • Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients : manage timelines and key dates for accounts
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements.

Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems.

  • Reviewing cash balances (debits & credits) for investment or debit coverage for discretionary and non-discretionary accounts
  • Support team members in executing portfolio trading and support the Portfolio Manager in keeping portfolio models up to date
  • Draw on your social media skills to update the team’s communication channels, including websites, LinkedIn, brochures, newsletters.

Must-have

  • High level of time management and organization skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication in English
  • Aptitude to build quality relationships.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills

Nice-to-have

  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) OR ability to complete with 6-12 months of employment.
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures
  • Experience with Salesforce application.
  • Experience in the Investment or Finance Industry, is an asset

The expected base salary range for this particular position is $37,500 - $45,000 depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn considerably more through RBC’s robust discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
