Position Overview :

As a Technical Support Manager, you will be responsible for supporting technical sales and market development efforts within the advanced composites industry. The position combines technical expertise with strategic marketing and customer engagement to drive growth in targeted market segments. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in composite materials and processes, experience in developing customized solutions, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to deliver value to customers and identify new opportunities for innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and manage market segment strategies, programs, and key customer relationships.
  • Act as a technical consultant to align marketing, sales, and segment-specific initiatives.
  • Gather customer requirements and deliver customized technical solutions and support.
  • Create quotes and bids for customized or non-standard products and services.
  • Evaluate customer systems for successful integration of company products.
  • Prepare sales support materials, including proposals, contracts, and SLAs.
  • Introduce, demonstrate, and promote new and existing products and services.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy and tactics.
  • Identify new product opportunities using existing technologies.
  • Analyze and optimize market segment program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Sales on customer-focused programs to drive ROI and sell-through.
  • Forecast customer needs to support budgeting and program development.
  • Deliver product training to internal teams and customers.

Expected Skills and Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Advanced Composites Manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Closed Mold Manufacturing processes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Composites Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of composite materials, including resin systems, fiber reinforcements, bonding technologies, and processing methods.
  • Proven ability to support or drive technical sales and customer engagement.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Preferred Skills and Qualifications :

  • Experience with sales promotion techniques within the composites market.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Outlook email platform.
  • Demonstrated success in technical sales or customer-facing roles.
  • Travel :

  • Willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 75% of the time to engage with customers, attend industry events, and support field operations.
  • Compensation :

  • The expected annual base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $115,000 CAD. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, skills, and qualifications. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

    À titre de Gestionnaire du soutien technique, vous serez responsable d’appuyer les efforts de vente technique et de développement de marché dans l’industrie des composites avancés. Ce poste combine expertise technique, marketing stratégique et engagement client afin de stimuler la croissance dans les segments de marché ciblés.

    Le ou la candidate idéale possède une solide expérience dans les matériaux composites et leurs procédés, sait élaborer des solutions personnalisées et est en mesure de collaborer efficacement avec les parties prenantes internes pour offrir une valeur ajoutée aux clients tout en identifiant de nouvelles occasions d’innovation.

    Principales responsabilités :

  • Élaborer et gérer les stratégies, programmes et relations clés pour les segments de marché.
  • Agir à titre de conseiller(ère) technique afin d’aligner les initiatives de marketing, de vente et propres à chaque segment.
  • Recueillir les besoins des clients et offrir des solutions et du soutien techniques personnalisés.
  • Préparer des soumissions et des devis pour des produits et services sur mesure ou non standards.
  • Évaluer les systèmes des clients afin d’assurer l’intégration réussie des produits de l’entreprise.
  • Préparer du matériel de soutien aux ventes, notamment des propositions, contrats et ententes de niveau de service (SLA).
  • Présenter, démontrer et promouvoir les nouveaux produits et services, ainsi que ceux déjà offerts.
  • Mener des recherches de marché et des analyses concurrentielles pour orienter la stratégie et les tactiques.
  • Identifier de nouvelles occasions de produits en utilisant les technologies existantes.
  • Analyser et optimiser l’efficacité des programmes de segment de marché.
  • Collaborer avec l’équipe des ventes pour élaborer des programmes axés sur les clients afin de stimuler le rendement du capital investi (ROI) et la vente directe.
  • Anticiper les besoins des clients afin d’appuyer la planification budgétaire et le développement de programmes.
  • Offrir de la formation sur les produits aux équipes internes et aux clients.
  • Compétences et qualifications requises :

  • Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience en fabrication de composites avancés.
  • Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience avec les procédés de moulage fermé.
  • Baccalauréat en génie des composites ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Solide compréhension des matériaux composites, incluant les systèmes de résine, les renforts en fibre, les technologies d’adhésion et les méthodes de transformation.
  • Capacité démontrée à appuyer ou à diriger des ventes techniques et l’engagement client.
  • Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office, en particulier Word et Excel.
  • Permis de conduire valide requis.
  • Compétences et qualifications souhaitées :

  • Expérience avec les techniques de promotion des ventes dans le marché des composites.
  • Connaissance de SAP ou d’autres systèmes de planification des ressources d’entreprise (ERP).
  • Expérience avec Microsoft 365 et la plateforme de messagerie Outlook.
  • Succès démontré dans des rôles de vente technique ou auprès de la clientèle.
  • Déplacements :

  • Disponibilité pour voyager à l’échelle nationale et internationale jusqu’à 75 % du temps afin de rencontrer les clients, participer à des événements de l’industrie et appuyer les opérations sur le terrain.
  • Rémunération :

  • La fourchette salariale annuelle de base prévue pour ce poste est de 80 000 $ à 115 000 $ CAD. La rémunération réelle sera déterminée en fonction du lieu de travail, de l’expérience, des compétences et des qualifications. Les employés peuvent également être admissibles à des primes discrétionnaires et à un régime complet d’avantages sociaux.
