Key Accountabilities
- Act as a first point of contact on-site for all assigned projects
- Take ownership and constantly look for ways to improve Safety Performance
- Develop and perform job task assessments (JTO’s), Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA’s) and assist with the development of Safe Work Procedures (SWP’s)
- Report all incidents, safety infractions, non-compliance issues and participate in the investigation and development of corrective actions
- Ensure on-site operations are conducted in accordance with corporate policies and procedures within permit conditions and to customer specifications
- Supervise daily activities to ensure project targets are met
- Assist with Estimating project costs for tender purposes
- Assist with Develop and execute work plans aimed at keeping projects on schedule and on budget
- Assist with project planning and scheduling under guidance of manager
- Opportunities for education and career development
- Other tasks as assigned
Experience, Qualifications & Education
- Diploma in a Technical field is an asset
- Minimum of 1-3 years in a supervisory role an asset
- Previous experience working in an industrial setting, project management and estimating.
- Previous experience with waste disposal and / or environmental remediation, on-site water treatment, civil construction and demolition , or other similar work scope, considered an asset
- Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- Computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and MS Project an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure and work with strict deadlines
- Must be flexible and can easily adapt to changing priorities with an ability to multi-task
- Ability to anticipate, investigate, research, and analyze challenging and unique problems, and to resolve or escalate issues in a timely fashion
- Overnight travel as required
- Valid driver’s license is required
