The ICCIT invites applications from qualified candidates who are not current University of Toronto students.

Appointment dates : January 1 to April 30, 2025 for S’ courses.

Qualifications (unless specified) : Must have completed formal education / experience specific to the subject area. Must be familiar with Quercus.

Demonstrated teaching excellence and advanced technological skills are required. For marking positions, candidates must be able to work well under time constraints and meet deadlines.

Duties : ( unless specified as marking positions may include but are not limited to one or more of the following) : Conducting in-person tutorials and maintaining scheduled office hours, students e-mail contact, grading, invigilating, and clerical duties.

The mode of instruction for the courses is in-person.

CCT461H5S Speculative Design lll

Emerging technologies have the potential to transform business models and architectures. In this course students learn the functional and technical underpinnings of selected emerging technologies and critically analyse how these technologies are impacting business functions.

Students also gain hands-on experience with emerging technologies and consider how they may be applied or adapted to solve management issues.

January 1- April 30, 2025

LEC0101 Fridays 1-3pm

PRA0101 Fridays, 3-4pm, PRA0102 Fridays 4-5pm, PRA0103 Fridays 5-6pm, PRA0104 Fridays 6-7pm

Anticipated course enrolment : 150

Approximate size of appointment(s) : 52 hours

Estimate number of positions : 4

Additional Qualifications : Understanding of the fundamentals of mobile application and / or VR applications development, knowledge of Java, C# or related programming languages, experience with Unity are required.

CCT454H5S Documentary Practices

This course explores the form and practice of documentary. Objectivity, ethics, censorship, representation, reflexivity, responsibility to the audience and authorial voice will be examined.

Students will engage in practical engagement with documentary forms including the expanded field of documentary using tools such as photography, audio, video, 360 video, VR and new technologies.

January 1- April 30, 2025

Wednesdays 9-11am (day / time subject to change)

Anticipated course enrolment : 30

Approximate size of appointment(s) : 60 hours

Estimate number of positions : 1

Additional Qualifications : Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Final availability of position is contingent upon final course determinations, enrolment, and budgetary considerations.

The rate of pay for a Sessional Instructional Assistant (SIA) is $52.26 per hour in accordance with CUPE 3902, Unit 3 Collective Agreement.

The Director of the Communication, Culture, Information and Technology shall make any, and all offers of employment on behalf of the Department at UTM.
