We’re looking for a Community Manager to manage daily operations, delivering a high level of customer service, a variety of administrative duties, expense and budget controls, unit leasing, and support building and property maintenance.

Position : Community Manager

Shift : Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (with on-call availability for major emergencies)

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000 / year

This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position that offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package and a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally and courteously handle all resident inquiries, feedback, complaints or concerns
  • Maintain an overall focus on enhancing the customer experience
  • Ensure open and effective communication measures for residents and site staff and head office
  • Supervision and activities of all site staff, service providers and contractors
  • Ensure compliance maintaining appropriate logs, inspections, certificates, and up-to-date permits
  • Host weekly team meetings in conjunction with the Property Manager
  • Training of new and existing staff according to established policies and procedures
  • Ensure maintenance repairs are completed on a timely basis to ensure resident satisfaction and safety
  • Complete incoming and outgoing suite inspections and document as required
  • Review and evaluate major repairs to ensure they meet budgetary and operational expenses
  • Manage vendors and ensure repairs issued to contractors are completed as per expectations
  • Issue purchase order, rent collections and renewals to residents
  • Manage accruals and invoice processing

Qualifications

  • Must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and professionalism
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role, ideally within property management
  • Property Management / Real Estate experience is an asset
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Understanding of TAL legislation is an asset
  • Possess knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Available to work flexible hours (on-call for emergencies)
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French (bilingualism required).
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
