THE ROLE
The Bilingual Inside Technical Sales Representative will possess a high level of pump and technical knowledge, and will be responsible for familiarity of product availability, use, application, benefits and pricing structures.
The Bilingual Inside Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for providing superior customer service, product selection and quotation preparation, technical support to the outside sales, and execution of large bid submissions and project management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Exceptional Customer Service :
- Efficient and accurate entry of customer orders
- Effectively managing time to ensure best possible response times to customer inquiries
- Working with the purchasing department to expedite customer orders when required
- Keeping customers informed of order / inquiry status
- Displaying a positive attitude
Support Outside Sales Team :
- Demonstrating awareness of company, branch, and territory targets and strategies
- Identifying and relaying customer opportunities, issues and concerns
- Building customer relationships
- Executing quotation follow-up; including maintaining and updating sales quote and relative customer information in the CRM database
Product Selection and Quotation Preparation :
- Identifying customer needs (delivery times, product, price, etc.)
- Focusing on details valid price, product number, description
- Coordinating with suppliers as needed
- Providing a quality bid, in the shortest possible and reasonable timeframe
- Providing technical information
- Developing advanced knowledge of our order entry and CRM software
Implement the Company's Strategies and Visions :
- Acting on the opportunity to make upsells and upsells or sell products from our other divisions
- Promote the service and repair of all products offered by John Brooks
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential :
- College Diploma in a related field
- Fluent in English & French
- A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience (industrial sales)
- Advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.)
- Must exude an enthusiasm, passion, confidence, and an optimistic attitude
- A positive mindset with a strong technical aptitude and a general understanding of industrial processes
- Must be driven and determined to win orders
- Must be a collaborative and a supportive team player
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be able to think on your feet , problem solve, and demonstrate creativity
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Must take ownership of own actions and demonstrate initiative
- A demonstrated alignment with John Brooks values; customers first, ownership / accountability, respect, performance excellence, integrity and innovation
Desirable :
- Working knowledge of fluid handling equipment and technical / mechanical processes
- Working knowledge of industry products, systems and applications is an asset; specifically, fluid mechanics and dynamics, and rotating equipment / machinery
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software systems
