Responsibilities

As an industrial drafter, you will be responsible for designing HVAC equipment. You will work closely with the Director of Engineering, along with other members of the design team.

Since your role is important in designing and manufacturing industrial air conditioning systems, you would be called upon to collaborate with other departments to contribute to the improvement and automation of the systems.

Also, you would attend meetings with customers and suppliers as needed.

Your daily tasks will include, but not limited to, the following :

• Review plans and specifications, and understand customer needs
• Create engineering drawings by using the information provided from designers with the aid of 2D and 3D design software
• Provide corrections to the design and drawings as needed
• Participate in the 3D model automation project with other team members
• Interact with the department of production and sales on behalf of the members of the engineering team / li>
• Validate that the drawings conform to the industry standards, safety norms and specifications
• Assist meetings with the department and administration
• Perform all other tasks related to this position

Candidate Profile

We are searching for a person who stands out and with the following profile :

• Possesses a diploma in the field, such as a DEC in industrial design or building systems
• Knowledge in heating, ventilation & air conditioning (an asset)
• Excellent understanding of, and experience with, AutoCAD and Inventor or equivalent
• Experience with iLogic from Autodesk (an asset)
• Computer knowledge in MS Office Suite
• Experience in sheet metal and piping fabrication and design
• Attention to detail and strives for high quality work
• Creative with eagerness for learning and developing new systems and custom products
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Self-motivated, strong time-management, ability to learn new skills , assume new responsibilties and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
