Permanent position (full-time)
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES :
Under the Engineering Design Managers supervision, you will be responsible for the following :
- Design Innovative Products.
- Work with identified suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability and profitability.
- Create clear and accurate part and assembly drawings.
- Manage Sourced Products.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and solutions.
- Work with supply chain and suppliers to develop a solution on time and within budget.
- Coordinate the launch ensure all step of the Ranger design process were followed (design reviews, sign off, testing, implementation, trainings, etc).
- Support the program manager by providing technical expertise on designs, time estimates, and products.
- Ensure Product Quality Control Ensure all new products are tested and conform with Ranger safety standards and design practices and meet or exceed industry standards.
- Complete and document testing and test-fitting of products to ensure fit, function and safety conformance.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain and acquire knowledge of safety standards in the category of each design project.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
- Design skills.
- At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
- Project management.
- Manufacturing methods and procedures.
- Process improvement.
- Technical understanding.
- Documentation skills.
- Safety management.
- Bachelors in engineering.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- An ability to multi-task and work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Be fluently bilingual (Asset).
- Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Knowledge of an ERP (Epicor, would be an asset).
