About the Role
Staff plus is looking for a HR Coordinator to support day-to-day human resources operations. This role works closely with the HR Manager, supervisors, and operations teams and plays a key role in recruitment, employee administration, attendance, onboarding, and health and safety support in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate employee records including timesheets, personal information, training records, and other HR documentation in both paper and electronic systems
- Support and manage full-cycle recruitment for industrial roles, including job postings, applicant screening, agency coordination, interview scheduling, and real-time recruitment updates to managers and supervisors
- Ensure employment requirements are met, perform background checks, prepare job offers and employment contracts
- Coordinate with managers and supervisors to identify current and upcoming staffing needs
- Manage new hire orientation and onboarding, ensuring completion of all compliance and onboarding requirements
- Administer employee training and maintain training records
- Support attendance management, approve hours in HRIS (Payworks), and assist with payroll processes including agency timesheet updates
- Perform general HR administrative duties including attendance policy adherence, performance reviews, and performance management support
- Assist supervisors with performance management and disciplinary processes
- Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries accurately and in a timely manner
- Inform and advise employees on HR policies, compensation, benefits, and workplace procedures
- Assist with the administration of HR programs including compensation, benefits, leaves, performance management, employee relations, investigations, health and safety, and training and development
- Research and prepare job descriptions, occupational classifications, salary scales, and competency evaluation tools
- Liaise with Health & Safety, Compliance, and Operations teams as needed
- Maintain and update HR and Health & Safety documentation in Citation Canada and Reliant EHS systems
- Update HR policies when required
- Support the HR Manager with ongoing HR projects, initiatives, and general support
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience in an HR Coordinator or similar HR role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of Ontario employment standards and HR best practicesExperience with recruitment for hourly or industrial positionsFamiliarity with HRIS systems, preferably PayworksStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretionStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levelsComfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentExperience :
