MERN Stack Developer (React and Node.js)

Location : 3 days / week on site (Markham) – 6 Staples Dr.

Duration : 6‑month contract.

Base pay range : $60.00 / hr – $65.00 / hr.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities :

• Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of five developers.
• Overseeing daily production operations, including incident management, troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Performing code reviews, managing team performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Developing and enhancing front‑end features using React (approximately 70% of development workload).
• Supporting back‑end development using Node.js and TypeScript (approximately 30%).
• Working with MongoDB NoSQL databases for designing, querying, and optimizing data structures.
• Managing production logs and supporting debugging and issue resolution for the e‑commerce platform.
• Contributing to new project work aligned with retail e‑commerce initiatives.
• Building, deploying, and maintaining code within an Azure cloud environment using CI / CD pipelines.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional groups to ensure timely delivery of enhancements and platform updates.
