Our client is a leading Mechanical & Electrical Consulting Engineering firm with a strong national presence and multiple offices across different provinces.
With over 50 years in business, and 500+ staff, they take on a variety of challenging, high-profile projects in the commercial, institutional, mixed-use highrise, and healthcare sectors.
Their office in Toronto is currently seeking a talented, experienced designer to join their electrical team.
Your new role
As an Electrical Designer your responsibilities will include :
- Assist with the preparation of drawings and schematics
- Coordinate with
- other consulting disciplines
- to ensure drawing integrity and completeness
- Work with project team and Project Manager to ensure on-time project completion
- Escalate resource issues to the appropriate Project Manager
- Review architectural and structural drawings
- Document production in AutoCAD or Revit
- Work with contractors and respond to technical inquiries
- Provide technical and administrative support through all phases of the project
- Help establish and promote client relationships
- Strive to ensure quality and timely delivery of finished products to client
What you'll need to succeed
- Electrical Engineering Degree or College Diploma, or any other relevant post-secondary education
- P.Eng, E.I.T or C.E.T designations would be considered an asset, but are not required
- 3-5+ years of experience in an electrical design relevant to Power Distribution, Lighting, and Fire Alarm systems specific to building projects.
- Design experience and knowledge of electrical building systems including lighting, power, and systems is a must.
- Experience in site investigations and construction review is considered an asset.
- AutoCAD and / or REVIT experience
