Electrical Designer

Description

Parsons is seeking an Electrical Designer in their Markham office in Ontario to join the civil infrastructure group to be part of a team working on projects of Roadways, Bridges, Transitways, Municipal and / or County arterial roads, side streets, multi-use pathways, parking facilities etc.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experience in Roadway Lighting Design and Traffic Signal Design is muat. Preference is given to the Province of Ontario’s Street Lighting and / or Traffic Signal Design experience.
• Be part of the electrical project team and attend project meetings
• Perform lighting calculations (AGI software knowledge desired), loading calculations, short circuit calculations, voltage drop calculations and Arc Flash Analysis calculations
• Ministry of Transportation, Ontario’s work experience is desired
• Generate one-line diagrams, traffic signals, roadway lighting wiring diagrams, and electrical details
• Write and edit project construction specifications.
• Review shop drawings, equipment submittals, perform site observations, and punch lists
• Coordinate on-site with the electrical contractor and Perform field inspections and provide professional field support as necessary during construction phases.
