SummaryThe Restoration Technician, under the direction of the Project Coordinator / Project Manager, is responsible for maintaining residences and buildings. This includes, making repairs to the internal and external structure of buildings, building items such as furniture and stairs and ensuring buildings are safe.
Knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety is a requirement for this position.
The Restoration Technician must be proficient at the following tasks : insulating, drywalling, taping, priming, painting, installation of doors, trim, and hard surface flooring.
The Restoration Technician will be responsible to adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times. This position will ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency. This role will also adhere to company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.

Job Duties
Adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all timesEnsure high standards of workmanship and efficiencyAdhere to company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time deliveryEnsure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory requirementsEnsure accurate and timely project close date; help supervisors to adjust working schedules to ensure deadlines are metAid in residential construction sites to ensure compliance with design, project specifications, regulations, and safety codesInform supervisor of the need to order materials as requiredAssist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects, and equipment problemsAssist with jobsite administration duties, such as timesheet completion, and any daily logs that need to be maintainedPerform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and toolsMaintain inspection records and complete inspection reportsBolt, screw, clip, weld, solder, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipmentErect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structuresCut, drill, sand, or plane materials for snug fitLoad, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and supervisors specificationsLubricate, clean, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and toolsMaintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of dayPerform various forms of labour to assist in the successful completion of construction projects from start to finishAbility to tile would be considered an assetOn call obligations required for week days, weekends, and holidays as neededJob Requirements
